God does not make mistakes.  And neither does the pope.
Lk 22:31-32

Papa Bear is no mere "representative on earth" but
rather the vicar of Christ, meaning having ALL the
authority of Christ himself.  Mt 16:18

Bishops are administrators.  The pope is a bishop -
the bishop of Rome.  Jesus did not entrust a
community to do his bidding, but an individual -
specifically referring to Peter.  What did Jesus
tell Peter to do?  "Feed my lambs, feed my sheep."
Jn 21:15-17

Jesus appointed Peter, not the apostles.

"Thou art Peter, and upon this Rock I will build My Church."
Mt 16:18

That same authority rests with the present pope.  Although
a college of cardinals has been set up, the pope can change
the rules or do away with it completely if he so pleases.

In fact, the pope is free to name his own successor.  Which
is exactly what happened quite recently.  Or didn't you notice?

Jesus told Peter that Peter could set any rules he wanted.
And whatever rules Peter set was fine by Him, going so far
as to say both Heaven and Earth would be bound by those
rules.  Would you like me to cite chapter and verse?

If the Holy Father was to say "Come Lord Jesus!" -
would Jesus come again?  Would that be The Second Coming
of Christ?  Does the Pope have the Power to do that?
According to Jesus, he does.

That is, if you believe what the Holy Bible has to say.

A divine moment?  Do you realize what you just said?  Imagine
the number of people around the world who would be shitting in
their pants when Jesus does come again right at the moment the
Pope calls His Holy Name ...

When He comes again, with all His angels, methinks it will

Here's a scary thought -

Paul VI went on to his eternal reward.  Then
another bishop was called to duty.  The name he
chose was John Paul I.  Reporters asked the new
pontiff why he chose to have a I after John Paul.
The new pope replied because there would be one
to follow.  And sure enough, 34 days later, John
Paul I met his demise.  And then a new bishop was
called to duty.  The name he chose was John Paul II.
He lasted much longer than 34 days.  The next in
line was Benedict XVI, who was JPII's right-hand
man.  The *only* cardinal who had *not* been
hand-picked by JPII in the college of cardinals.
And then, the shocker of shockers.  Benedict XVI
abdicates.  The first pontiff to quit in several
centuries.  And look who has replaced him -

             Pope Francis

Note there is no I after his papal name.
In other words, there will be NONE to follow him.
To stress the point, Pope Francis has declared
the upcoming year of 2015 (beginning Advent/December
2014) as being a Holy Year.  The theme?  Have a seat
and remain calm.  Ready?  ALL WILL BE FORGIVEN.

The tradition of a Holy Year is all Catholics
are called to make a pilgrimmage to Rome.  All
who are able are expected to do so, only those
who are not able being excused.

But nobody pays any attention to tradition, or
to the old ways of doing things.  People have
their iPhones and iPads, laptops and androids,
giant tv screens, and other technology goodies.

St. Malachy wrote a number of prophecies, all
of them dealing with future popes.  We are now
being witness to his final prophecy -
