I think I would prefer the turned and scrubbed ones.  I suppose it
woud be possible to feel along the length of the ones that you had
blown out, to find any pieces of "stuff" left behind.

I tried that, but although there were lots of interesting Thai
preparations, including durian, that particular video didn't run.

      Title: SESAME PEANUT NOODLES
 Categories: Starters, Sides, Thai, Asia-se
      Yield: 4 servings
 
    500 g  Noodles- flat rice
      1 tb Sesame oil
      1 tb Sesame seeds
      1 tb Vinegar- rice wine
      2 tb Soy sauce
      1 tb Vegetable oil
      2    Garlic cloves; crushed
      1 c  Coconut cream
    1/4 c  Peanut butter
      1 tb Fish sauce
           Salt
           Pepper white
    1/4 c  Onions- spring; chopped
      2 tb Peanuts- roasted; crush
 
  I don't know the correct name for this dish but I have a sneaking
  feeling i t was one man's domain. The flock of customers to this most
  unassuming slur p-fest was all the proof I needed to try out the
  noodles & attempt to recre ate them.
  
  Cook the noodles in a pot of boiling, salted water according to
  packet inst ructions; drain. Combine the sesame oil, sesame seeds,
  vinegar & soy sauce in a large bowl. Add the noodles & toss to coat.
  Cover & keep warm.
  
  Heat the vegetable oil in a frypan & gently fry the garlic for 1
  minute. Ad d the coconut cream & peanut butter & stir for 2-3
  minutes, remove from hea t, stir in the fish sauce & season to taste
  with salt & pepper.
  
  To serve, place some noodles in a serving bowl, top with a generous
  spoonfu l of the sauce & sprinkle with spring onions & crushed
  peanuts.
