True the hibachi did fit my lifestyle...I also made killer taco's back in those

days because they were just so easy to fix! My freezer seldom had food in it 
and I kept my gin and scotch in there with the ice cubes. 
Fridge usually had beer and pop, salad fixings, and whatever meat I was 
going to eat during the week...Usually steak, hamburger, or fish....Oh and I 
made spaghetti too...but used jarred or canned sauces in those days. I was 
certainly able to cook more and knew how to cook more ...but just didn't 
waste the time doing it....Hawaii y'know!

Not sure what the "Eddie" is back in my day we had the Pipeline invitationals, 
the Duke Kahanamoku, the Sunset open, and the Makaha invitational...and 
Waiamea Bay for big surf but no contests. I surfed in two Pipelines, two 
Dukes, and three Makaha's. Lots of smaller local contests to qualify for the 
biggies as well. We used to go out and surf off the point of Diamond head in 
the summer when we would be the only people out there all day long...it's 
about a mile or more just to get out to the good break so not a lot of people 
went to the trouble unless they knew what they were doing...In the summer 
you'd usually find us at Queens surf, or Ala Moana...or I'd be teaching in 
Waikiki in front of the Outrigger hotel.
