Ärende: Freeze-dried lung snacks

I finally figured out my problem with Doc's and now I am back.

The warning about watching your dog eat the treats is no joke. My last
dog, Fritz, a german short hair about 60 pounds, loved rawhide chews 
so I us bought what was on sale. One time I gave him a really big one 
as a special treat and sat down to read a book. After a while, I 
heard him making a funny noise so I looked over and saw him choking 
on the chew. He had chewed up the knot at one end but left the knot 
at at the other end dry and hard. Then he tried to swallow the soft 
end which went down fine until the dry knot at the other end hung up 
in his mouth. I grabbed the knot and pulled about 14 inchs of rawhide 
chew out of his throat. After he swivelled his head a few times, he 
asked for his "bone" back and I gave it to him. This time I watched 
and he carefully chewed the treat into small pieces and finished the 
whole thing with no further problem. After that he never had a 
problem with choking on his food, but if I wasn't there to help him, 
I have no doubt that he would have choked to death.
