Unlike MLoo, I do not have spare wine glasses just hanging
around in which to pour wine back and forth in some sort of
crazy juggler's version of wine-CPR.  So that Aerator sounded
mighty fine to me.  But instead, I went out and got a small
aquarium pump and three feet of air hose for ten bucks.  Now,
I just stick the hose in the bottle and turn on the pump and
bubble the hell out of my wine.  My MD 20/20 has never
tasted so smoooth.

PS. I tried it with a straw one time but smelling the wine
that close made me drool.  It didn't bother me much but my
guests were a little disturbed.

Odd you should mention this, Burt.  While we were packing on
Friday, I had Turner Classic Movies on, and there was a 1933
movie on called "From Headquarters."  It was a crime drama about
a multiple murder, but the newspaper reporters in the film
provided comic relief.  One of them kept talking about investing
in "wine magnets."  So the scam is an old one.

Also of note:  There is a popular website and message board
called WineWeb.  I Googled "wine magnets" because of your
message and the coincidence about the movie, and found some
reference to them on WineWeb - specifically, that the site
administrator not only endorses them, but has stated in the
message boards that WineWeb had considered investing in the
Amazing Wine Clip company but didn't because it's not "part of
their business model."  Needless to say, WineWeb is off my
list of reputable information sites.
