 Management problem in your local outlet,
 I presume. When I am visiting Mom in Alabama,
 and we are voyaging to visit my brother in
 Atlanta, she usually wants to lunch at
 the Popeye's in Gadsden, AL because she has
 coupons, and likes the food. I admit, the
 staff are mostly usually not of my ethnic
 type, but are friendly and cooperative, and
 I never felt I was being given inferior
 product. I don't know if I prefer chicken
 deep-fried in a batter shell in the first
 place, but I do appreciate Popeye's has
 more interesting sides than most places, and
 they do make lovely biscuits! Mom likes it,
 I go along.

 But please don't damn the whole chain for
 the behavior of the staff in one or even
 two outlets. You might write a thoughtful
 letter about your perceptions to the
 central management of the chain, either
 to the Popeye's chain or the local
 franchisor, to address these issues. If the
 employees are driving off customers with
 attitude, management needs the chance to
 address it.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Popeye's Famous Fried Chicken
 Categories: Poultry, Copycat, Classic
      Yield: 2 Servings

      6 c  Oil
    2/3 c  Flour
      1 tb Salt
      2 tb White pepper
      1 ts Cayenne pepper
      2 ts Paprika
      3    Eggs
      1    Frying chicken; cut up

  Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 400oF. In large,
  shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, peppers and
  paprika. Break the eggs into a separate shallow bowl
  and beat until blended. Dip each piece of chicken into
  the eggs, then coat generously with the flour mixture.
  Drop each piece into the hot oil and fry for 15 to 25
  minutes, or until it is a dark golden brown. Remove
  the chicken to paper towels to drain.
