:)  Crockpots generally make a good tomato sauce because it simmers so long and
doesn't burn.. I do remember doing that a few times :)

Hopefully today warmed up some for you.  I think our high today was a little
over 30.. Tomorrow and the next day are only going to be in the 20's... but
that's better than when that arctic blast first came in .. if it was 8 during
the day, we were lucky :(  I think this is the first year since we've been here
that it's gotten  this cold ...  I'm hoping we don't have a cold spring ... I
want warm! <grin>

It's a great range!  No problems whatsoever... Ron had it installed in a few
hours after converting it from Natural Gas to Propane (no city gas in Windsor
<g>).  Some of the flames needed to be adjusted for optimum cooking (simmer
burner was a little high for my taste, and the Bake setting needed a little
adjustment).

The range has one 14,000 BTU burner,  & one 12,000 BTU burner.. that 14,000 BTU
burner is HOT :)  Looks like it will be great for searing on a grill or in a
pan.

The control panel is fine (that was one of the big complaints of the negative
report I saw.. you can select Bake, or High Broil or Low Broil or some custom
setting which is cool.. The oven keeps the temperature no problem, another
complaint from that other review.  I really think either someone installed the
range for her that didn't know what he was doing, that person got a lemon..

It looks really nice, and works really well :)  It's got the kind of cast iron
grates that go all across the top of the stove, you can quickly and easily
slide pans from heat level to the other (I love that :) ).  Haven't tried the
timers or timed bake or clean yet, but I'll do that eventually :)

I can understand that.  We put a vermont slate floor in the first house we
bought when the kids where little.. I loved that floor.. it was so easy to take
care of... and when cups and plates fell they didn't shatter as most people
thought they would.. Ron built the center island there as well after we owned
it for about 5 years.. That's one he did all in one shot rather than the way
we're doing this one.. but this one is much more involved.  The sink and oven
were situated next to the center island pretty much so there was no need to put
the appliances in the island.

Yep, sometimes it just takes determination, and knowing what you want.
