You guys really must get with the times, that has been mandatory here since Feb
85. My last four cars have all had rear fog lights, Rover, Peugot, Volvo and
Lancia, I modified the Rover ones to act as extra brake lights as we seldom get
the sort of fog that these lights are designed for in NZ. But never got round
to that with the rest, though I used the Lancia ones twice last month when we
did get some extra foggy mist on a couple of mornings. Also all of them other
than the Rover had/have the headlights wired through the ignition so they come
on in a dimmed setting as soon as the engine is started, the Rover headlights
were wired so as only to come on when the ignition is on. Something I forgot
once when the car failed it's 6mnthly test (WOF) for having no head lights, the
testing person turned the ignition off before checking the lights ;-( and
stupid me spent half an hour trying to work out why there was no voltage at the
relays before the penny dropped, to coin a phrase. The Lancia, typical Italien
does it differently, to have parkers on you have to press a button on the side
of the ignition and then pull the key out, all the lights go off with the
ignition otherwise. (saves flat batteries though)

Ditto for the Lancia, the Volvo, Rover and Peugot had the high brake light in
the rear windscreen.
