 DS> messed up

Bjorn was/is, no doubt, pulling your leg.

The only person who has complained about not receiving the 11 missing
messages has been Neut. Who is not a downlink of either Bjorn or Leary.

DS> and so he did not get all of the issue from Nick.

I wouldn't believe your source for that, even if you paid me.

DS> If you check that path line you will see that it is: 261/1406 ->
 DS> 261/38 -> 320/119 -> 203/0.

Which is irrelevant, as the only one who has complained about not
receiving those 11 missing messages isn't even a downlink of any of those
nodes.

The original complainant's path is; 261/1406 -> 38 -> 140/1 -> to Neut!

Seaborn has said that he didn't receive all of them, and Neut is the ONLY
other who has not seen them.

There is none of those you mention in that path accept for Janis.

DS> All messages were there on the first three nodes. They were not
DS> there on the last node, ergo it is that node that killed them.

Wrong, as Michiel, who is directly connected to Bjorn has stated that he's
seen all of Nick's messages.

DS> It was not Janis that did it -- it was Björn.

Nope. Janis received Nick's messages and sent them through the NAB to
Seaborn. Who has stated that after further review he hadn't received all
12 of them either.

DS>> And based on the path to Björn, there are only two suspects as to
DS>> who eliminated the messages by mistake and prevented them from
 DS>> reaching his system.

 RW>> Not! The path from/to Neut's system to Björn's system doesn't exist
RW>> until Seaborn gets a packet from Neut. Then that pkt travels through
RW>> 140/1 to Ross at 123/500 who is linked with 320/119, Andrew Leary,
RW>> who then passes it to Björn, who passes it along to Michiel which
RW>> then goes to Australia and back to Z1 to several links here. If you
RW>> ask any of them in that path, they won't have seen it either, unless
RW>> those 12 messages made it from 261/38 to 3:712/848 which is a
 RW>> 'repeater' serving Z1 and Z2.

DS> I was not talking about messages from Neut,

You have to be, since no one else but Neut has complained of not receiving
the 11 missing messages. Bjorn merely commented on the inability of Janis
to send all 12 of them to Seaborn. Since Leary has said that he got all 12
messages and Michiel said that he's seen them, the only link between those
two is Bjorn...leaving your theory in the dust.

DS> and so that convoluted chain you name is not relevant.

It's very relevant, since Neut is the original complainant.

DS> We were talking about messages from Nick, and how they should have
 DS> gotten to Björn.

And Seaborn. They didn't make it to Seaborn, but they did make it to
Bjorn and beyond.

DS> As confirmed in todays mail, they got to 320/119 but not to Björn.

Which has nothing to do with the original complainant. Not to mention that
those two are directly linked to each other, with 320/119 stating that
he's seen them and so has Michiel, who is directly linked to Bjorn.

DS>>> Hence the fault lies either with 320/119 or yourself. Have you
DS>>> looked in your dupes folder or in your log?

RW>>> Bob Seaborn has confirmed that he never received all 12 pages. Do
RW>>> you imply that it was his fault for not receiving them?

DS>> Perhaps, perhaps not. I have no way of knowing about that.

Do a search in this echo for a post by Seaborn to Janis confirming that
after further review of his inbound logs, he didn't receive all of them
either.

RW>> You would have had you kept up with the thread. But you've now seen
RW>> the evidence of that above.

DS> I've seen no evidence from you -- and you have ignored what I was
 DS> saying.

I have to ignore what you're saying because what you're saying is wrong.

DS> Maybe now you will understand it.

I posted excerpts copied from the message in this thread that appear in
this echo...perhaps you havn't been reading for comprehension again,
blinded by your inability to follow a thread.

RW>> The path as I think Herman would see it is; Herman, Seaborn <>
 RW>> Seaborn, Herman.

DS> Herman's path is irrelevant to how Björn should have gotten the
 DS> messages from Nick.

Herman's path is very relevant, since he's the only complainant who has
stated that he didn't receive 11 of them. Taking Bjorn's word for it means
very little, since he is not a complainant, but merely a commenter on the
inability of the 'ice queen' to do much of anything right. BTW, Nick
didn't send those messages to the echo, he sent them to Janis, who
tossed them in her outbound for distribution. One member of the NAB got
them all and one didn't. Pretty simple, really.

DS> He got them, but must have tossed them out as dupes.

And yet uplinks and downlinks either side of Bjorn have seen them...odd
that you would consider a dupe check deleted them at his systme, yet
those messages made it to his downlinks!

As Seaborn is the only node who has stated he didn't receive them and a
direct downlink of his has complained of not seeing them, where does that
lead you to look for the problem?

RW>> The path that shows how they got from his system to mine is quite
RW>> long; herman, seaborn, ross, leary, crosses the Atlantic to; felten,
RW>> vd Vlist, little to me.

RW>> Not being able to correctly read a path line may be your cause of
 RW>> confusion.

DS> Did you read the path line on the message from Nick to Björn?

AFAIK, there is no path from Nick to Bjorn, Neither would I understand his
reasoning if he had. Bjorn isn't exactly a fan of either Nick or the Z1
version of Fidonews. Not to mention that Nick sent this last issue of
Fidonews to Janis for distribution.

DS> It is quite simple, as I have been saying. It is all that is
 DS> relevant to my discussion.

See above. It isn't that simple.
