I forgot to mention that you should call in your attorney before you make
that 911 call to the PD...that's even more important than getting the
police involved.

As are any newspaper or radio/TV reporters, except they're looking for the
excitement of events to report to the public, which should remain private
until you're released into your attorney's custody.

Name, address and your carry permit, if that is required. Which will
depend on where the events occured. If in the home here, it is covered by
'Castle Law', which doesn't require any permits for lethal weapons.

That came out of a USSC decision which is called Miranda Rights, which
means that you're apprised of your right to remain silent and that you ack
that anything you say or do anything from this point on will be used
(against, not for you) you in a court of law.
