Well, I did haul 8 sections (segments?) of a ten foot dish in the trunk of
my 1970 Firebird...of course the delicate parts were put in the back seat.

Some of the early sats did.

What was fun was turning a dish to the very eastern edge of the horizon
and picking up the signal from a military sat. It was used to show the
same programs that I could get on a overhead sat, but without any
commercials (which allowed the audience to see and hear the broadcast
booth players when the game was stopped for commercials). I think the
footprint was for that wonderful picnic area now being mis-used in Cuba. I
don't recall the coordinates anymore, but it did have a wide coverage
area.

I'm thinking of ending our sat service for the summer. If what they have
available is any worse than what has been available these last few months,
Nancy and I'd be better off enjoying each others company rather than
watching TV...if we need to watch TV, there is the local broadcasters with
HDTV signals even...maybe in the fall, the sat programmers will have
realized they're losing customers because they charge more for HDTV
channel service.
