That's odd. JFK is buried in Arlington National Cemetary, in Virginia. But
I assume that you were originally talking about Oswald's grave in FW,
near to Arlington, TX...

Ahhh, a play on names. Arlington, TX is right next door.

That's par in any big city area. Try driving in Los Angeles during peak
traffic sometime. What can be driven in 20 minutes in off peak hours takes
2-3 hours at peak traffic time.

Carrying guns in your car is a Texas tradition. Not that means that there
is any road-rage all over Texas. If you even brandish that gun, is a
violation of Texas law. The penalty is no less than a year in prison.

Today marks the return of warmer days. The high here today is expected to
be 81F, but by Friday, it will be back to highs in the 40F range again.
The 'snow-birds' will be sun bathing today.

*^) Also typical of any large airport. Even San Diego's Lindburg Field is
that way. I was going to warn you to get out of Dallas before the storm
hit there later in the week, but let it slide, hoping you took my advice
and brought warm winter clothes.

It's not only the weather up there that is bad. I keep telling my BIL
that he'd enjoy living in the panhandle because he can get the same
weather there, that he has in northern Illinois. The big difference being
that he wouldn't have to live under a dictator's rules and pony up high
taxes to support the anti-gun laws in Illinois. That state is as near to
communism as is California now. It'll get worse when the mayor of Chicago
(America's Murder Capitol) becomes the governor. Maybe you've heard of
him, Rahm Emanuel, who was the O'bama's right hand man during his first
term as Prez.

It's Texas's economy, traditions and a hope of a new Republic that draws
people here. The economy is rated as 8th or 9th in the world, depending on
who you talk to. That means jobs with a lower cost of living than
elsewhere in the states.

Dallas is far from being an ideal place to live, as is Austin, Houston and
even San Antonio. If you have to work in those cities, I feel for you. The
roads are designed to make traffic worse than it should be. I don't know
anything about Dallas freeways, but if there's no use of 'clover leaf'
access/egress interchanges, then all is lost. San Antonio has only one
clover leaf exhange and it's a nightmare to get to, unlike those in
California.
