YEah think I heard of it, don't think I ever was able to sit through it though
even if it was playing somewhere I was.
The talking book program used to get some fairly well known
names as readers back in those days.  QST came on open reel
tape at first, then cassette, 4 track mono, half speed, read by Vic CLark,
w4kfc, who actually understood the blind man's method of describing schematic
diagrams, unlike modern qst
readers who are just any old person they can seem to grab.
I think arrl had Vic doing it somewhere else than American
Printing house for the blind's studios in Louisville though, and they took some
time and care with it. But, that also
meant your qst came to you months late.

Yeup, been there, adn stepped across the river there <grin>. The Paul legends
were fun, but pb was a bit wilder imho, and a bit more irreverent too, which
was right up this wild
pre-teen's alley.  YOu gotta remember, I was essentially
raised in a zoo about that time period, a dormitory with
30-40 boys and adult supervision that couldn't keep up even
if it was provided by superman.
