Of course not.  All wars are economic.  Even if religion is the blame.

Partitions have never worked.  Whether it is India, Vietnam, Ireland,
Korea, or any other land, the people are the same.  Kashmir is still
a land that remains contested, even though it is one of the most
beautiful places on this planet.  There are other areas that also
remain disputed.  But who decides who gets what?  If a people are not
strong enough to defend themselves from outside forces, whose land
does it belong?  Poland ceased to be a country for centuries, yet
the people retained their own language and customs, until a time
came that made it possible for them to claim their own country for
themselves once again.

Man is tribal.  As such, man will seek associations with others
who are closest to his own kind.  This can be observed in a local
setting, as well as regional, national or international settings.
