YOu and me both.  Both have useful content to some degree,
the fido via nntp info might be helpful to the newcomer
telling him where to link in, but a once a month thing's
good enough, a newbie can find it anyway.

I at least read through the z1 version's stats, and new
files via filegate listings, as I might miss something in
the announcement echoes that it might be worthwhile to get
my hoks into, so I always give that one a skim as well.
But, imho we shouldn't have to look to two versions of
FIdonews to get it, the "official" and quasi official
versions.  But, since that's what has to be done, this echo
is again available to anybody who'd care to access it from
my system.  But, of my former regular users, in single
digits one has moved away, one has even fallen away from ham radio altogether.
                       The others haven't called for months. But, there again,
I enjoy it, and keep doing what I'm doing
anyway.
