A perceived problem. Not problem(s). His reasoning is that one or two missing 
characters could mean the whole misinterpretation of a message. That is 
far-fetched in the context of this HOBBY. C'mon Janis, do I really need to
explain this to you too?

This is not HAM radio, smoke signals or flag-waiving. This is a
little message network on computers, governed and operated by people with 
varying degrees of computing interest... by and large, people who generally 
understand that if a "Hello world" message gets out and is replied to, thats 
satisfactory enough indeed.

Some individuals here are mentally or socially unbalanced; and feel the need 
to make the participation in Fidonet the same as commercial project
management, corporate IT or presiding over the next OS development at
Microsoft. If these mentally-unstable people encounter an opinion in 
this hobby network which does not fit their little warped view of reality, 
they are personally insulted. With the eff-this, eff-that, and so on.

Sadly this is the catagory where he falls into. Nitpicking over "quotes". And
if its not that, its other little digs here and there - Proudly proclaiming
how "FD/RA" does something, as if I'm somehow supposed to be impressed or
give a cookie-treat for a reward.  This has been going on for a long time.

And I asked him to prove where my product breaks standards. Not proposals, but
breaks STANDARDS. Since I'm apparently so guilty of that and I have little 
pointed ears and a pitchfork tail.... and no, not happily promoting FreeBSD.

See - I take it all in stride, and thats just him - Theres countless others 
who make digs here and there. So when I decide something is not my problem, it
is for a good reason. I pick and choose what I feel is important in my HOBBY.

And I get a little tired of taking digs and potshots from an elected FTSC
member who contributes absolutely NOTHING and has ZERO programming skill.

BBBS is a very nice product. I give it kudos. I may not like its interface but
I do give it thumbs up for at least being developed.

Why should I fix something for a non-DB user, when lots of other BBS and 
editor software has the same issue?

Why is quoting suddenly an issue now? Because his medication has worn off?

Why is quoting a problem to him, but not a problem to the dozens if not 
hundreds of people who have installed and used my software?

Again. I'll repeat my logic.

"If you cannot figure out the general jist of a message on a hobby network, 
and it personally offends you, then stronger medication is necessary and a new
hobby such as model trains or stamp collecting is recommended".

Janis, we are ALL volunteers here in this network. And we are ALL open to
receiving criticism. Some of it from an entire zone, right?
