That's because I'm quoting you, and YOU are in the TO: field. How many times 
do you old folk have to be reminded who the message is directed to? If more 
than once, you're going senile.

Yeah, but you started this thread with remarks about Synchronet. Only because 
Nick spoke up did you say anything about DB.

IMO, the origaddr in the MSGID is still part of the MSGID. That shouldn't be 
parsed. You're still saying the MSGID should NOT be parsed, but the origaddr 
IN the MSGID is where you get your netmail address from? That doesn't make 
sense, Mark.

There's a couple other places the node number is stored.. Are you sure it 
doesn't look in those places instead?

The two main editors being used today with Synchronet do NOT add initials to 
quoted messages. If either programmer thought the idea of adding these 
initials was a good one, wouldn't you think they would have done it by now?

Synchronet doesn't have a quoting problem. You just have a disagreement with 
the way it does it.. which in other people's (including people that can follow 
a thread without it, and don't need to be reminded who said what in every 
message) eyes, quotes very nicely.

You've mentioned that on numerous occasions. You must be proud. Hold your head 
up high, champ! I just can't fathom how many things you probably missed out on 
during that timeframe. :)

That had nothing to do with being youthful. See? All those years in Fidonet 
really cinged your sarcasm detection ability. I asked "Who is yours?" because 
you're the only person whining about this right now. Most other people, or 
"yours (at the time you used "mine")" have lives, and could really care less 
how someone quotes, as long as they're capable of figuring out who said what.

Why have you never argued with Janis about this? How long has she been using 
BBBS? Do you pick and choose your battles, rather than caring about your 
beloved Fidonet as a whole?

Someday you will realize that not everything will be up to YOUR standards, 
Mark. There's quite a few people using DBridge and Synchronet. And AFAIK most, 
if not all users are happy with them, and will report bugs as they see them. 
When someone that doesn't even use the software whines about something that's 
not a "problem", but yet a "problem in Mark's eyes" .. It might just go in one 
ear, and out the other.
