There are few in this echo so to enter a message, get a return it takes
at least two or three weeks eh! So if I want to see if this thing is to
get messages out, it's easier this way! Oh yes....this BBs I'm on now
can't load and return the messages I send to other such as yourself! ;-(

Bob's Proposed Laws of Consumer Reciprocity

1. THE LAW OF FEE RECIPROCITY: Any company which charges a customer a fee
for making a mistake shall be subject to a similar fee if the company
makes a similar mistake. For example: if a bank charges a $20.00 fee for
bouncing a check, that bank shall owe the customer $20.00 anytime they
post a check for the incorrect amount.

2. THE LAW OF POLICY RECIPROCITY: Any company which charges a fee for a
service and which arbitrarily change policies so that the services are
decreased shall be subject to arbitrary reduction in the amount of
payment due from customers. For example: Your bank charges a fee for
access to ATM machines and institutes a policy limiting access to only 4
withdrawals per month, where you previously could make any number of
withdrawals. The consumer could arbitrarily decide that since he usually
makes 8 trips and now only gets 50% use of his ATM, the bank fees should
be reduced by 50%.

3. THE LAW OF FINE PRINT RECIPROCITY: Consumers are permitted to include
the same volume of 'fine print' on payments that companies include on
marketing materials; and, the consumer's fine print is just as binding as
the companies fine print. For example: The fine print may limit a sale
item to the first few people to respond, likewise, the consumer may limit
payment on several checks to the first merchant to cash a check. All
checks to merchants with similar 'first response' policies shall be
voided after the first check is cashed.

4. THE LAW OF CONTEST RECIPROCITY: Any company that sends marketing
material in "contest" form is subject to payment in the same format. The
company can be required to read many pages of instructions requiring
stickers to be relocated into boxes, circles to be checked, forms to be
completed and returned, and if the company is one of the first 5 to
respond they could receive a bonus payment. If the company fills out all
the materials exactly correctly, and subscribes to the consumer's
newsletter, they are entered into a drawing for payment and they stand a
one in a trillion chance of actually being paid.

5. THE LAW OF TRANSMISSION RECIPROCITY: Any company that transmits
consumer personal information to third parties may be required to collect
payment from the third parties. For example: Say company A transmits
(sells) Consumer information to Company B. Company B then transmits
(sends) junk mail to the consumer. The consumer may insert the bill from
company A into the return envelope of company B and transmit (mail) to
company B who will be required to pay the bill.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were called to a park in London to
investigate a crime involving an unusual tree. The ABC Tree, as it was
called, had the unique ability to actually grow all the letters of the
alphabet. Shockingly, however, it seemed that someone had plucked most
of the letters from the tree.

Watson approached the tree and examined it closely. "My goodness,
Holmes!" he exclaimed. "It appears that some ne'er-do-well has stolen
all but the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth letters of the alphabet.
What do you think of that?"

Holmes sucked at his pipe contemplatively for a moment before answering,
"Why, it's an LMN Tree, my dear Watson."
