Ärende: Re: Katrina
===================
From: "Gary Britt" <zotu@nospamforme.com>

The New Orleans evacuation plan specified the city buses and school buses would
be used to transport people without transportation. All the people at the dome
and convention center. 30,000 of them wanted to leave and could have been
transported in 1 or two bus trips. The New Orleans City government didn't
follow their plan and never tried to use the buses.

Lots of people seem to be blaming Bush, making false claims of racism, idiots
in the main stream media calling for resignation of Chertoff, and yet NONE OF
THESE PEOPLE LAY ANY BLAME ON THE STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, and that's where
most of the blame belongs, imho.

That's the only point I'm really trying to make. If you want to say, hey the
locals screwed up and the feds were 24 hours later than they might have been
otherwise but that's what happens in a disaster this size, I don't have a
problem with that.

I agree with you and Denny Hastert we should rebuild New Orleans somewhere else
and let the current location be made into an underwater habitat for fish and
other forms of life.

Gary
