Dont be silly, you working or having worked in the DIY auto parts business, you
know all too well there are plenty of folk turning a wrench under the shade
tree or in the garage or carport on their cars to keep them running or to bring
back a dream car.

A variance to allow one to disrupt the neighbors??

You based your argument in part on the possibility that the neighbors were
disrupted, turns out that in part they were.. Parking, fender benders.. You are
saying that the pursuit of a permit makes all that ok?

I tend to think your opinion of this case is highly tainted by your rabid
atheism and that if it were more of a case of being a Tupperware Party you
wouldnt be so inclined to side with the city?

Better yet, if this man was working for ACORN or having some grassroot
political meeting to elect Democrats to office, you would have no problem.

Oh please, paving his lawn and installing a parking lot and erecting a steeple
is a zoning problem, not having people over as guests.

You obviously have no idea of what news aggregation is, the fact that the
article I cited was from a Foxnews RSS feed has no bearing on Foxnews at all,
as they took the story from a local feed.

The Big News folks dont have reporters everywhere 24/7/365, they rely on
syndication.

When the Susan Smith case broke down here 15 years ago, do you honestly think
that the very first news reports were written or done by reporters from lets
say CBS or did they initially use the resources of the local CBS affiliate?

I have told Sauer over and over, get a RSS aggregator, hell just use Google
Reader. Its the Internet version of what news media has been doing for years.

I also use Google Reader to keep up with tech issues.

When I lived in Vienna Va, a public street was exactly that.. If a road was
wide enough to allow curbside parking, one could park anywhere except to block
a driveway or access to fire hydrants and stay a certain distance from a street
corner. The neighbor across the street used to have his buddies take my spot in
front of my house, I responded by parking in front of his house. Why they
werent parking in front of his, was beyond me, but he got the message.

Even so, there was nothing I could have done about it.

Obviously they cant be used if one is disturbing the peace.

We lit off fireworks in the driveway last year on the 4th.

Oh and the fender bender, the Preacher paid for it out of his own pocket.

Oh and the Neighborhood, it isnt exactly in a hustling bustling section of the
city.
