The guy's system isn't answering, either binkP or telnet.  It pings, still. 
(Great choice, I know.  But he's the only one I know who runs Synchro.)

As Mark Lewis noted, the LRP function is set in the JAM messagebase specs.  The
same goes for Squish and *.Msg area types too (I'm using the SMAPI version of
JamNNTPd, which does all three)...

I'd recommend some way of writing the authorised NNTP user ID to the
messagebase (say, just JAM for a start) just as if they were a normal BBS user.
 Then the JamNNTPd server could just use 'standard' program code to deliver up
the unread messages to the user. That method sounds the simplest, I think.

Of course, the kicker for all this means that it's up to the sysop to ensure
that both IDs (BBS and NNTP) are the same!  =:)

BTW, you ought to be aiming your code fixes for Johan Billing's attention.  I
think Bjorn is the frontman since Johan may not be around all the time.
