Hmmm...  I can't say if it's possible to use this connector for any other
purpose.  The documentation for my Enermax power supply and the docs for
both graphic cards specified this connector for the card.  I can't even
tell you what the power values are for the connector (I would have to look
for my Enermax docs......)

Well, my Intel board has the built in graphics as well, but I wanted dual
displays (that's why I "diddled" with the ATI card for five months before
going to the nVidia), so I had to disable the onboard graphics before I
could use a dual head card.

The homebrewed system is doing quite well and I am satisfied.  Next system
I build will be the same Intel DG965WH motherboard, but I will make sure
that the BIOS will support the Quad processor.  Also, while RAID is nice,
the way I have it set up is a "waste" (two 320GB, two 500GB and two 750GB -
one mirrored to the other).  Next time, it will be one 320GB, one 500GB and
four 750GB (RAID 5 with write-back cache -- combined capacity of all hard
drives minus 1).  The four 750GB drives combined into one large drive
*should* put me into the two terabyte range (if I understand the concept
correctly).

Currently, I have eleven hard drives in the box - six SATA and five PATA
(had to install a Promise controller card to use four PATA drives; the DVD
drive and another PATA HDD are on an IDE channel).

And, for those of you waiting for me to report on my progress with jpsoft,
4DOS, Take Command, etc. -- there is no progress to report.  I decided to
procrastinate.
