Its Box On day here, Jean on Christmas Day,

In the days when I used phone calls to order/confirm/report to USA 
clients/suppliers/sources,  getting the telephonist to accept that 
I was actually ringing up from to-morrow was always interesting...

We're running on daylight saving here,  making us 13 hours ahead 
of UTC/GMT time - very useful in handling the forgotten birthdays 
of our British family and friends.

The penalties of time travel;  did you hear about the three wise 
men bearing gifts who popped out of the time anomaly  created by 
the Large Hadron Collider when they switched it on just before 
Xmas ?

The first one said "I'm from the Future... after the Bad Thing 
happened, life was pretty bad, but we've invented this thing 
called Fire and now life is pretty good  -  so I've brought you 
some Fire !"

The 2nd one arrived, saying "After the Bad Thing and Fire we were 
very happy apart from having to carry heavy things about ... so we 
invented the Wheel, and life is almost perfect so I've brought you 
a Wheel."

The third wise one manifested, pronouncing "After the Bad Thing, 
Fire and the Wheel, life was nearly perfect apart from having to 
work.  Now we've abolished that by inventing Money.  We just pass 
it around.  and when we get it going real fast, it grows and grows 
all by itself so nobody has to work anymore at all.

So I've brought you some Money..."
