If you ever wanted to remove EAs (extended attributes)
from a hughe
amount of files, you encountered the problem that
EAUTIL does not
work recursively through a directory tree. I just
wanted to remove
all EAs from my Digicam images before copying them to
a CD or DVD.
So this REXX script was born. I hope you like ;) .
Description: (You get the same when calling the script
without parameters.)
This program removes all EAs from all files of a
specified directory.
A filemask like for the dir command can be optionally
added.
Syntax: del_ea.cmd <working directory with optional
filemask>
Examples: del_ea.cmd x:\images\*.jpg (for .jpg images)
del_ea.cmd x:\images (for all files)
The script hasn't been deeply tested. So I'm not
responsible for
loss of any of your files if haven't backed up them
before using
this tool. You should always do this before running
this script !

Wenn Sie jemals versucht haben, die EAs (Erweiterte
Attribute) einer
grossen Anzahl Dateien zu entfernen, sind Sie auf das
Problem gestossen,
dass EAUTIL nicht rekursiv auf einem Verzeichnisbaum
funktioniert.
Ich wollte einfach nur alle EAs von den Bildern meiner
Digitalkamera
entfernen, bevor ich diese auf CD oder DVD kopiere.
Daraus wurde dieses Script geboren. I hoffe, dass es
Ihnen nutzt ;) .
Beschreibung: (Sie erhalten dieselbe Beschreibung beim
Aufruf des Scripts
ohne Argumente.)
Dieses Programm entfernt alle EAs von allen Dateien
eines
anzugebenden Verzeichnisses. Eine Dateisuchmaske wie
für dir
kann zusätzlich angegeben werden.
Syntax: del_ea.cmd <Arbeitsverzeichnis mit optionaler
Suchmaske>
Beispiele: del_ea.cmd x:\Bilder\*.jpg (für .jpg
Bilder)
del_ea.cmd x:\Bilder (für alle Dateien)
Ich übernehme keinerlei Garantie für gelöschte
Dateien. Deshalb
empfehle ich Ihnen stets vor Verwendung des Programms,
ein Backup
Ihrer Dateien zu erstellen.
