VCMPT034.ZIP 16 Kb. Martin Kiewitz's vCompat v0.34b. Written and (c)
by Martin Kiewitz. Dedicated to Gerd Kiewitz.
                         OS/2 / eComStation's VDM is nearly perfectly
emulating a real DOS session. Did I say nearly?
Yes, I did. Some programs are too restrictive in
their use of DOS APIs. And some MDOS-APIs do not
behave 100% like in real DOS. Additionally some
programs contain library bugs, so they won't run
on faster machines even under real DOS (like
e.g. Turbo Pascal CRT Unit bug). That's why I
did this compatibility VDD. It hooks itself into
the middle of several APIs and it contains a
magical VM patcher, that is able to patch out
some buggy routines on-the-fly, which means the
user won't even notice that he got a broken
                         program.
VSND010B.ZIP 13 Kb. Martin Kiewitz's vSOUND v0.10 BETA (internal
release!). vSound - virtual Soundblaster for
OS/2 / eCS. This release does not yet route
                         sample-data to MMOS/2. It's only useful for
people that want to try it for fun or people
that got a working Soundblaster card on port
220h, IRQ5, DMA1 and want to use vCOMPAT
GoSierra patching (use pass-thru in that case!).
Please read the txt files included in this
                         release. Includes Martin Kiewitz's
                         VDMA-Replacement v0.92b.

GS854OS2.ZIP 12619 Kb. GhostScript Interpreter Version 8.53.
Ghostscript can read a PostScript or PDF file
and display the results on the screen or convert
them into a form you can print on a
                         non-PostScript printer. Ghostscript is an
interpreter for the PostScript (TM) language. A
PostScript interpreter usually takes as input a
set of graphics commands. The output is usually
a page bitmap which is then sent to an output
device such as a printer or display. PostScript
is embedded in many printers. Ghostscript has
several main uses: 1. Display a PostScript file
(avoid killing trees). 2. Display a PostScript
file to decide if you really need to print it
(reduce the number of trees killed). 3. Print a
PostScript file to a non-PostScript printer
                         (kill more trees).

Autoconf is an extensible package of M4 macros
that produce shell scripts to automatically
configure software source code packages. These
scripts can adapt the packages to many kinds of
                         UNIX-like systems without manual user
                         intervention. Autoconf creates a configuration
script for a package from a template file that
lists the operating system features that the
package can use, in the form of M4 macro calls.
autoconf is a set of Unix shell and perl
scripts. Therefore, there are no binaries.
