Yeah, they normally do it once or twice a month in my area, but last month 
since everyone was focusing on Field Day they didn't have a regularuly 
scheduled one.  The next one is about 40 miles away in two weeks or in town 
in 4 weeks.

Nice!  I was thinking of getting a dual or tri-band handheld radio at 
first, but I'd love to get more of a portable radio with 2m, 6, and 70cm at 
least.  Problem is I don't have alot of cash now, so I'll get what I can 
get then upgrade later.    I'm just anxious to get talking :)

I also attended my first local ham meeting this week, and tough I was 
younger then most by at least 2-3 decades, it was a great group of guys.  
I'm excited to get licensed and start working with folks in the community.
