Hi Craig,

It was easier to setup than I thought.....

I'll describe setting up a new node in PXW & Taurus.  

a) After you add the user to pxconfig -> node manager -> edit the tabbed field 
for "internet options" and select the export field and type in a directory.  I 
use \mail\nodes\12615555 (the node number of that user).  (ensure that
directory 
exists)

b) Open Taurus -> Config -> Node Inspector -> New -> Type Node -> Select "file 
box" and type the directory for that node you indicated in PXConfig 
(\mail\nodes\12615555)

c) Edit the PXNet Packing Statement (ensuring proper routing in the netmail 
option in PX), and add a packing statment like this: pxnet /scan /fastpack 
1:2615555 /file c:\mail\nodes\12615555\netmail.pkt

That's 'it'...

Another way of sending the netmail (working on it) is using a mail tracker.  
Instead of using PXNET to export and pack the mail in accordance with the 
netmail routing table in PX, you can use BigTed, export ALL the netmail into 
*.msg files and use something like ftrack to pack them directly into the 
\outbound directory without using "node" specific directories (like we did 
above).  Ftrack (and most netmail tracking software) creates the necessary 
Binkley style outbound (BSO) necessary for Taurus to recognize and forward 
itself.

What I'm trying to find is a tracker (like I described above) that will compare

each netmail against that nodes's flags in the nodelist and if it finds (for 
instance) the bink flag, then pack that netmail for delievery "direct".  But,
in 
comparing that netmail against the nodelist, if it doesn't find a suitable
flag, 
then it should pack it up for delivery in accordance with the routing table.


Right now -- I can use BigTed to export mail directly into BSO in the outbound 
directory without any other issues... If Taurus will route iaw what Alen wrote 
before, then I won't need a tracker..  Anyway -- dynamic netmail routing is 
still a work in progress..<g>
