...which cannot be made with commutative fallacy. The problem in this
particular controversy is premise based, with about 60-ish percent of the
interested polity using a different definition of "marriage" than the
remaining 40%.

More problems with premise. I'd be disappointed, actually, if the government
were to go the route I've talked about, because my tax situation would
change for the worse. But my disappointment would be one voice in a
cacaphony.
