Sorry; I was responding more to the tenor of the whole sub-thread, with
a little bit of pet peeve thrown in. I was trying not to be insulting,
but apparently failed.

Perhaps. But even there, there's some good stuff and some crap. Brooks 
and Dunn, in particular, have had some very good songs, up to and 
including "Boot Scootin' Boogie".

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Personally I'm interested in any music 
which has some actual creativity to it, regardless of the genre, but I 
know that's not true of everyone. There's even pop music I enjoy. What 
annoys me, though, is that people often do categorically slam the 
Country and Western genres in particular, and the people who enjoy them. 
Again, not saying you were, but "...as uninterested in country music as 
it is possible to be," struck me as narrow-minded, particularly for a 
musician, and it hit a sore spot.
