I don't think so. Old Testament (since I don't know enough about
Torah, etc.) the God of Abraham had the "big picture" in mind when
speaking to Abraham to take his family and servants and slaves and go
forth toward Cannan. I think it is fair to say that it is commonly
believed God/god/godesses have "the big picture" in mind when speaking
to an individual to get them to explore a new path, escape an
addiction, preach encouragement and support of the downtrodden.

Desire for justice does not equal belief in a god or deities but is it
an important concern in many religions even if the object of justice
applies only to one's "own kind" or "tribe" and not to the group's
"enemies" or non-members.

As I wrote, the phrasing I used _reminded_ me of phrasing I've heard
before in a religious context. And that prompted a bit of my own
understanding as to a possible layer of meaning behind the religious
phrasing so the religious phrasing sound less like empty rote from
seminary or Sunday school.

I think your interpretation is your focus on one sentence in the
paragraph and ignoring the next sentence in the same paragraph.
--Then it is also my fault because I left unwritten my remembering
G'Kar's comment of assuming a wall is the source of a spot of light
rather than the wall being the place where the light falls.

Thinking about Sheridan's choices and Galen's actions opens my mind a
little to considerations of Galen's motives and concerns rather than a
bumper sticker conclusion about Galen.
