 Probably not lately. For the first time, Dell's market share dropped by 1/2 
a point while the whole market grew.  I think HP went up a full point. 
They're trying their traditional blow-out sale approach to try to stop the 
hemoraging.  It's not working this time though.

I bought a Dell about a month ago (E1705).  I pulled it out of the box but 
within an hour I packed it back up to ship back.  I had upgraded the display 
and the graphics card and even so the display was absolutely terrible. My 
new laptop is MUCH better.  I used to buy Dells, but I've given up on them. 
Their service has gone so far down the tubes as be insulting.
