I really can't see why a graphic novel / comicbook can't do this justice.
The problem is that since the majority of comic books *do* have spandex clad
flying people, the chances are that this is all you have ever seen.  I've
been reading this stuff for the last six or so years (yeah, I got into it
fairly late ...), and whilst I have read quite a lot of superhero stuff, I
have read a vast amount of stuff that would not fit this category.

In fact, now I think of it, I can see that a comic-book is an ideal medium
for this kind of report.  Using the visual language of the medium, you could
essentially make this a very readable science report (kind of like how CSI
does it, but you would be able to control the speed of the data unravelling
in front of your eyes).

I think that it is essential that as many people as possible actually
understand what happened as possible.  The other day, I accidentally found a
website which purported to be a forum for the discovery of the "truth" about
what really happened to the World Trade Centre.  This stuff was utterly
unbelievable.  People were seriously saying that a conspiracy of
Neo-Conservatives and Zionists in the government had caused the planes to
hit the towers so that they could get involved in Afghanistan and Iraq.
After further searching, it turned out that there were a great deal more
websites like this, and apparently there is a film called "Loose Change"
which was supporting the fantasy claims of the self-proclaimed "Truthers".
There are some truly sad people out there who have watched far too much
X-Files and have absorbed far too many pseudo-left wing received opinions.
Now, I don't know how many people believe in this crap, but it terrifies me
that there are people of such credulity around.

So, if this graphic novel is a serious attempt at recreating the 11/9
incidents, then I'm all for it.
