Dear Joe,

I hope this finds you well. I know that you keep very busy. You once
nicknamed me " The True Keeper of the Flame,, a title that makes me
proud. It means a lot to me, and it is so true, as I am. If you look to
the east you will see the glow of my fire for B5, that has never faded
for your wonderful creation, I am in your debt for it, for all the
work, and effort. I wish it had been a 10 year arc, but it might have
done you in considering what you wrote about yourself in the Hour of
the Wolf scriptbook.
I do want to congratulate you first on the Big Screen deal with Ron
Howard about " The Changling". I hope it works out to your
satisfaction. In reference to your comment about this making you " A"
list, but to me and others, you already are, and most people cannot
understand B5, it is over their heads. But, you don't have to convince
us of anything. We hope it will be done right, and it will be exciting
to see. Good for you, Joe, But, to me, B5 will always be your greatest
acheivement., hope that is ok with you.
I just watched the film, " Star Wars - The Revenge of the Sith,
recently, and it was really excellent, to my mind, the best of the
bunch. The visuals were awesome, and the story better and deeper. The
others that came before should be remade. I couldn't help but reflect,
thinking what B5 would have been had you had his budget, and ILM at
your disposal. If you had, our screens would have melted. B5 was better
then Lucas tales in my humble opinion. This SW was good though, but B5
superior.
I am avidly collecting the Scriptbooks, I have been determined to get
them all, so I can get 15. And it isn't easy as my mom died , I have
been ill,and my finances a bit shaky. But I MUST have them. B5 is an
inspiration for many reasons. Anyway, I love every word, you could
write tons  more, and it would be a feast, I love your humor and even
the footnotes:-) Your more personal stuff has given me insight into
your work, and I was so moved by what you wrote about Richard Biggs and
Andreas Katsulas. That was so touching, and it hit me hard, especially
Andreas, to whom I felt a kinship. I treasure every word about them.
And all else, the story about the wrong Magill in Severed Dreams, the
ending of Z'Ha'Dum. So much good stuff. I read it too fast, can't help
it. There are some things I wonder about, do you have siblings, and are
your parents still alive? I have found common ground with you on
certain levels, and identify with you, both my folks were alcoholics at
certain times in their lives, and I was picked on in school too. My
parents are very sadly gone now, .... but they beat that demons.
I have just a few gentle suggestions, I hope you won't think me
presumptuous. I just think it would be nice to write something about
Tim Choate, who was Zathrus, he is gone now too. I would love to hear
more about your observations about the actors, both on and off screen.
Especially Bruce. In Volume 14, you might add a guest cast listing, for
reference. I would love to see a Volume dedicated formally to Andreas.
I just adored him. I had a great Con experience with him, and I would
give my eye teeth to see the Memorail film of him that was made. It has
been the worst year for me, losing my Beloved Mother Helen, the worst,
and also losing Andreas, it cuts to the bone.
I appreciated getting the postcard, " Never Surrender Dreams", and am
trying to hang on but it is very hard right now. Thank you for my
inspiration, B5 is there for me, and for us all , i tis a deep and
forever love and passion. If I make it, you will have helped me very
much.
I hope your cat, Buddy, is ok,, that story of how you saved him is a
classic, you should put it in one of the books. I also wish Kathryn
well also. My very best wishes jms, to you in all you do. Please know
there is always a blazing flame for B5 in New York, for all time, and
it's mine.

it would be great to have some more B5 in whatever form,, Good luck in
