I didn't know Cronin. I apparently came here after he died and I'd never
even heard of him until this thread. Still, I've watched someone very close
to me died slowly at 16. The amount of fear, pain, and sometimes hatred for
the universe that could cheat them out of a future they hadn't even realized
they had counted on is beyond what most people can grasp.

Maybe he was unpleasant before he got sick. Maybe he became a PITA
afterwards. I don't have a clue. Having read what was posted, he
apparently touched the lives of some and royally corked off you and others.
One way or another, he is remembered, and I suggest to anyone reading this
that this fact alone was almost certainly important to Cronin.

I'm tempted to reply to a number of your comments, but I suspect that my
words would be misinterpreted as being critical of you and that's not how I
would mean them. I would only suggest that perhaps being a jerk in a
newsgroup is not the worst thing one can be accused of... and perhaps it
might be forgiven after his death.

As to not "giving a damn," I hope that is simply irritation speaking. The
death of anyone...particularly someone that young is cause for sorrow.
