That too.  However even the transport level is different as per so-called FTN
'standards' and I have bash scripts to fake out that part just to satisfy the
lame headers as they currently are.  Those really need the heave ho and have
for quite some time now.  They are getting in the way and I'd argue always have
been from the time of their conception.  It has absolutely nothing to do with
compatibility to anything other than other lame software that required it. 
They are bogus, pure and simple.  If it was me who concieved of them I'd be
embarressed and would be hjumping through hoops to see that they died a
horrible and miserable death never to be spoken of again.  Standards?  Whose
standards?  Has nothing to do with a hobby network and should have never been
made standards, especially not by a hobby network.  Smells of death methinks.

How much longer do you expect it to last?

They won't last long.  They never do.  I'd rather talk about a future rather
than some past glory of someone who long has abandoned his creation.

Nope.  You couldn't be more wrong about that.  I can do FTN as well as the
other stuff with the other stuff.  Been doing it for some time now.  You cannot
claim the same and if you can then tell me now and I'll be more than happy to
have a looksee.  Up to now all you are doing is porting shoddy workmanship and
calling them 'standards'.  They aren't and never should have been.

Anyhow this message meets the requirements unless you can demonstrate
otherwise.  The only place binkd is running here at Kumalockasun is on the node
(486) to satisfy the uplink.  All else it does is unzip inbound pkts so that
nothing else here requires it.  No tosser or any other processing on there, so
that at least I can safely claim that I am a hobby sysop and probably the only
one left standing.
