During the week Amanda kept socializing to a minimum because of Anne's and

My folks are the same way, for them even now an exciting meal out is the 
local take out chinese chopsuey palace....which I don't think has had a 
Chinese person in it since the 50's!

Yes, I did have that freedom and I loved it! I learned more European History 
that way than I ever did in class!

Believe me, when I pack out I usually have everything covered and stowed 
somewhere on my person...but as this was not "out in the bush" as it were, I 
didn't feel the need to carry every thing I usually do...every ounce matters 
when you have to carry it all day and soft sand is very very demanding stuff! 
and my neck takes enough strain from having a camera slung around it!
