Interestingly, I've received pretty decent service all up and down
that strip o' chains except at one place, Copeland's, where we waited
2 hours for our main courses, and only some of them came. The help
there were nice enough but couldn't serve their way out of a paper
napkin.

Gave you your lycopene for the day, though. Probably heartburn, too.

Carol and I were in the Wal-Mart pharmacy yesterday, and just
browsing around I found one of the medicines that had been
prescribed for me and that I refused to take, as I didn't
think I needed it. It was $5 under my medical plan for 50;
$16 Wal-Mart price for 50; $5 for the generic for 100.

 SD> It is.  A recent study said you can eat up to 25% less at a meal if
 SD> you have a salad.  So now I'm hunting for the best salad bar in town. 
 SD> Ruby Tuesday's has a good one, but at $8 a pop, kinda spendy on my

In Carol's neck of the woods there's only one salad bar, other
than in the supermarkets: Ruby's. Too bad I won't go there
because I find the rest of the food salty and overcooked.

You could buy your own lettuce, I suppose. Or go to one of
the buffet restaurants, where it's only $7 or 8, and you can
get all the salad you can stuff down, along with other food.

 ML> I seem to recall that back in '05 this one said "Ryan's
 ML> Steakhouse"; now it says "Ryan's" in big letters with
 ML> "steaks, seafood, buffet" underneath.
 SD> I double-checked last night when passing the Ryan's here.  It says
 SD> "Steakhouse and Buffet" on there.  I didn't see a single person order
 SD> one of their steaks when I went there the last time.  I prefer their
 SD> buffet over Golden Corral's though.  More choices of food.
 
At Ryan's they could get away with serving two things, if
those things were fried chicken and pulled pork.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Chicken Dijon
 Categories: Chicken, Main course, Sugarbeach
      Yield: 12 Servings

      6    Whole chicken breasts,
           -halved
           Salt & pepper to taste
  1 1/2 c  Sour cream
  1 1/2 c  Dijon mustard
      2 c  Italian bread crumbs

  Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and garlic.  Combine sour cream and
  mustard.  Dip each chiekn breast in the mustard mixture, coating well,
  then dredge in the bread crumbs.  Arrange chicken in a single-layer
  in a microwave-safe baking dish.  Microwave at HIGH 12 minutes.
  Rotate dish 1/2 turn and microwave 12 minutes more.  Source:  Sugar
