======================
Hey Ruth!
->
-> -> I know, right now Steve is working on making a design originally meant
-> -> for trasfer to fabric & paint into digital for stitching. It's from a
->
->  hn> I thought of you yesterday....had a friend offer me a quilting frame,
-> hn> and a loom...neither of which I have the skills (or the space for) to
-> hn> use. Too bad you're so far away!
->
-> Ah well! I could use the space of about a 3 car garage to hold all the
-> toys I want. A long arm quilting machine, several sewing and/or
-> embroidery machines, a serger, quilting frame, etc. It would have about
-> a 12' long by 6' wide cutting table too.
->
What the begollies are you making that's 12 feet long???

-> -> hn> make coffee and fill a 50 cup thermos and go and sell it for 25
cents
-> -> hn> a cup to people in line at the gas stations. We collected fir cones
to
->
-> -> Interesting, looking back to what we had to do to live--and we had fun
-> -> then. We used to get together with another couple, let the kids play
and
-> -> we'd play Uno or Ono 99. Popcorn & sweet tea were munchies.
->
-> hn> During the school year we'd have lots of parties at our house...we
-> hn> didn't have any furniture so everyone just sat around on the
-> hn> floor...we made tacos and sangria and had a great time listening to
my
-> hn> stereo! During the summers I'd have a summer job and we'd go
camping
-> hn> with friends, hiking in the mountains and going to the beach...didn't
-> hn> cost much and was a lot of fun!
->
-> Was Anne going to school at the same time? I got most of my college (all
-> but 2 classes) done before Steve and I got married, finished the other 2
-> the first year. My parents wanted me to have that BA before getting
-> married but let us do it the way we did. Good thing we didn't have to
-> wait for Steve to finish his degree; he got a BSOE in 2003.
->
Anne had finished by the time we got married and was working in a research
facility on Long Island...when we came out here there was no research
positions available anywhere so she worked as a vetrenary tech. Then she
worked in the lab of a local hospital until Amanda was born and then she was
a stay at home mom till Amanda started school then she went back to college
again and got her teaching degree.

-> -> hn> I used about 3 lbs of pork and 3 lbs of beef.
->
-> -> Mixed and rolled the balls by hand? I'd have problems there.
->
-> hn> my hands and wrists were pretty sore and stiff by the time I got
-> hn> through as well! Next time I think I'll scale that down a whole lot
-> hn> and not get more than one pound of each! We've been eating
meatballs
-> hn> like crazy because the
-> hn> freezer seems to be full of them (grin)!
->
-> Yes, but at the rate you're eating them, it won't be full much longer.
-> Two pounds of meat isn't too hard on my wrists but 3 will be pushing it
-> just a bit more than is comfortable.
->
My hands were pretty "crampy" by the time I finished that's for sure!
.
-> -> It was, but will make another time easier as all the ducks will be in a
-> -> row waiting to get shot down (or used at the appropriate time).
->
-> hn> Yep, Anne and I spent a lovely weekend and now I'll have to do some
-> hn> cooking for the rest of the week as we have eaten most of what I
had
->  hn> put
-> hn> away....busy weekend and no time for food prep, so the freezer fed
us
->  hn> all weekend long!
->
-> I understand; I'm trying to do bits and pieces of long term cooking at
-> least once a week until the freezer is stocked.
->
-> -> hn> (grin) Anne likes it as it is too....but she likes it with peanut
-> ->  hn> sauce even better! ->
->
-> -> OK, you know I'm not a fan of peanut butter.
->
-> hn> Have you found a peanut sauce that you like? most are peanut butter
-> hn> based but if you find one you like it makes a wonderful seasoning
-> hn> agent for lots of things!
->
-> I've not really tried many. In Berlin we would occaisionally get
-> something from an Indonesian place but I don't particularly remember the
-> sauces. Most of the time I'll read a recipe or menu listing and see
-> peanut butter and not bother going further for that dish.
->
Happy for us we both like peanut butter and the additional ingredients in the
peanut sauce are tasty add ons (grin)

-> -> That's where I'll try something new but usually asking what the
-> -> approximate heat level is before ordering.
->
->  hn> We'll see (grin)
->
-> Yes, there are always those little surprises........
->
Yup!
chat with you soon
