================
JW> Even a little beluga can weigh in at 3000 to 3300 pounds.
ML> Thank heaven for little whales.
 JW> Very tasty critters.

I know you said they tasted like beef, and what can be
bad with that? I'm still looking forward.

-=> Jim Weller said to Glen Jamieson <=-
 GJ> cheek meat? Best part.

People used to liken fish cheeks to scallops - smallish
roundish muscles. They're okay, rather firmer than a
scallop, nothing special.

"Like precious stones [they] derive their value from their scarcity."

GJ> My late wife used to split fish heads to get the brains. Not
GJ> much of a meal from them, though.
JW> I've never eaten fish brains. But the opportunity will arise soon; the
JW> next time I buy fish from my fish lady, I'll either purchase a head or
JW> two or ask her to extract a few brains. Or do I really want to?

Speaking of which.

Have you never closely investigated the insides of a fish
head? I'm rather surprised. Anyhow, the brain isn't anything
special, either. If it were, the fish wouldn't have been
caught, would it.

-=> Jim Weller said to Hap Newsom <=-

HN> I was a young single guy with more than several
HN> casual girlfriends who were "stews", I had one entire closet in my
HN> apartment full of ladies clothes that they would leave there for
HN> future visits. It was a very nice arrangement, they had a place to

And no jealousy among the young ladies. Cool.

HN> leave extra clothes for whenever they happened to be in town, and I
HN> had a steady stream of really cute dates who didn't demand a whole lot
HN> of my time on a daily basis and didn't get in the way of surfing. It
HN> was an ideal situation for a single guy.
JW> I knew a guy who once had a similar situation going on. He was a
JW> steward and had an apartment like that in Toronto and another one in
JW> Frankfort. But like so many other stewards he was gay and all that
JW> potential for fun was wasted.

What a heterocentric thing to say! I'm betting he had plenty
of fun, according to his lights.
