That's an old one!  The flaw with that in the pre internet days is the
time that it takes for a newspaper to get from one part of the country
ot another.  Your cactus could be dead from lack of water or overwatered
if several newspapers arrived on the same day.

We were surprised when we drove from the PIttsburg area to Houghton
several years ago at the number of Amish that had settled in western NY.
They weren't there when I was in college.

The first scrapple I had was some that Steve's dad had us bring up from
PA.  He grew up in McClure (central part of the state); we had stopped
there on the way to NY so I could meet some of Steve's family.  One of
the relatives, knowing we were coming, had made arraingements with Dad
for us to bring up some scrapple.  Good stuff!

Probably the difference between a national manufacturer and local folks
doing it.  I'm pretty sure I've posted a recipe from a PA Dutch cook
book; I'll have to hunt it down and repost if nobody has it in their
archives.  A bit of warning, first you'll have to find a hog's head. (G)
