Not really, but we are organized enough with cooking to not get 1/2 way through
a recipe and then read the rest of what we need and go 'oh no'.

Not sure on parsley for cilantro but it's what i would do anyways as I'm one of
those who find cilantro should be called 'soap weed'.

You won't find *any* recipes with 'xxcarol' catagory with cilantro.  When I use
a recipe that has it in there, I just omit it.  You are right though,
sometimes for color I'll use parsley or green onion where it was (depending on
the dish as to which I might use).

Don says he can taste it ad doesnt get soap-taste but he could careless if it
were omitted except in a very few mexican things.

Heck, you've seen my recipes do that all the time!

This recipe I might add isnt one I'd make in either flavor as we arent sweets
fans here.  If I were to adapt for our own use here, the orange peel would go
away entirely, the citron would be reduced to 3TB, the sweet pickles would be
at best 3 TB.  Black olives would jump in gleefully and the vanila would
become mirin. The powdered sugar would go away but a mix of drained stewed
tomatoes and jufram bannana sauce would creap in that gapped volume space.

Oh thats evil!  1/2 the ingredients were in the directions!  I'd have read
those too before starting to make it though <g>.
