Yep - must be a local thing.  The Jamaican population here is high enough
that it's probably a cross-pollination.

My sister says I have to be told what "normal" is.  She'll learn pretty

I never heard that, so didn't know it "couldn't be done" - so I promptly
did it. Story of my life, really.

I"m of course eating leftover noodles w/shrooms for lunch at the moment. 
When I was her age I got stuck with sandwiches every day.  These days I eat
one about once a month at the coffeehouse I help at.  Otherwise, forget it.

That explains it.  Southern Florida cooking has a ton of hispanic caribbean
influence these days.

That's too bad.  Some stuff in the regular sections here is certified
Kosher too, if not KforP.   It takes some label reading, but since a lot of
us read 'em all anyway it's no big deal.
