Here again, you need to work on your comprehension.  Over and over 
again, you keep saying that the only chowder I "recognize" is New
England Clam Chowder.  That's just pure BS.  I'm going to say this 
once more:  Tomatoes don't belong in CLAM CHOWDER.  That's it.
That's the extent of my parochial attitude towards chowder.  Nothing
there about Rhode Island (clear broth) clam chowder.  Nothing there
about corn chowder.  Nothing there about anything EXCEPT the single
subject of tomatoes in =clam= chowder.  Somehow, you've blown that way
out of proportion and you come back to it time and time again, putting
words in my mouth.

You want to call it closed-minded?  Fine.  It's not the first time
you've called me that, and given that every time someone doesn't agree
with you, you brush it off as closed-mindedness rather than considering
that someone might possibly have a difference in opinion, I'm hardly 
suprised.

And why does this bother you?  Are you Emeril's publicist?  Do you
hold stock options in his company?  If not, why do you care what
I think of him?  You like his style and his recipes.  Cool for you,
I'm happy you find so much enjoyment.  I don't share your opinion
of him.  In fact, I hardly ever even think of the guy, except every
now and then when I see a bottle of his stuff in the supermarket
and I think, "Hey, there's Emeril again, LOL, what an asshole" and
move along.  (Paul Newman, Rachael Ray, and Sylvia of "Sylvia's
Gourmet" fame all get the same treatment, BTW.)  So stop taking it
so personally that I don't buy into the cult of celebrity.  I'm
never going to have a very high opinion of Emeril.  I just don't
like the guy.  Once again, we have a difference of opinion.  I could
just as easily call you close-minded because you refuse to think he's a 
loudmouthed cackhanded douchebag.
