No stretch marks, or what? But in fact, as I don't know
anything about adult popular culture these days, I can
hardly be expected to know anything about juvenile same.

I just did what red-blooded Americans do and Googled them.
Now some dusty old brain cells have fired up and reminded
me about their falling out with the Reverend Jerry Falwell,
who accused the purple one of being gay. Apparently he (the
purple one, apparently identifiable as male by voice) cuts
capers that remind some of homosexuality and (shudder)
carries an apparent purse. I suppose that if the thing were
labeled a Teletubby briefcase, that would be all right?

Frightening indeed, but I suppose we have no stones to cast
about cultural imperialism.

Speaking of frightening, Wikipedia claims

 According to Business Review Weekly magazine, 
 The Wiggles were Australia's highest grossing 
 entertainers for the year 2005, earning more 
 than AC/DC and Nicole Kidman combined.

The size and importance of the youth market (and perhaps the
idiot market) cannot, it seems, be overestimated.

Salmon steaks with capers and rice 
cat: main, fish
servings: 4

4 salmon steaks, 1 1/2" thick 
4 Tb butter
Fresh dill 
Capers 
4 c cooked wild rice 
Lemon cut in wedges

Preheat oven to 375F. Place the salmon steaks on a
foiled-lined baking pan. Top each steak with a slice
of butter to moisturize the salmon while cooking.
Melt the remaining butter.

On the top oven shelf, bake until the fish flakes
with a fork, 30-35 min, depending on your oven.
Remove and immediately place the salmon steaks in
the center of a plate and brush with melted butter
(as generously as you like), sprinkle with dill,
and surround with capers and wild rice. Sprinkle
with fresh lemon if desired.

Compl[e]ment this delicious meal with bacon wrapped
asparagus spears: Take 3 spears of asparagus and
hold them together. Starting at the top of the
spears, wind a strip of bacon around the bunch down
to the bottom and fold the end piece of bacon under
the last loop. Place in the oven, top shelf, at
375F until bacon looks done.
