The fried chicken place was a Roy Rogers; still, it was the
best food in the airport.

BAA, unfortunately, has nothing to do with Baltimore or
Annapolis, but rather is the British Airports Authority,
which has taken over BWI, Logan, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis,
Alice Springs, Darwin, Tennant Creek, Launceston, Tullamarine,
Perth, and Naples, as well as seven of the biggest in the UK.

It is enforcing a global-homogenization-friendly business
model that encourages chains upon chains in a mall environment:
not my favorite sort of thing. The food/bev choices are Aunt
Annie's Pretzels, McDonalds, Quizno's, the Rum Island Bar (my
choice so far, but that involves spending $15 to 20 for a sandwich
and a drink), and the Silver Bullet Lounge. Also promised are
Manchu Wok and Shannon's Pub, but no sighting so far.

By the way, this Rum Island place is described in its website:
 Featuring a tropical island theme, the Rastafarian environment
 contains funky Bahamian-style graphics, expansive ceilings,
 exotic elements and dimensional murals.


 DS> McDonalds is a "last resort" place for me.  If it's going to be hours

I'll bear that in mind: double cheeseburger.

   If you can get there while
 DS> they're serving breakfast, order a sausage biscuit and throw out the
 DS> biscuit. Their sausage patties are quite close to the best breakfast
 DS> sausage I've ever had (though a bit salty.)  Also, the hash browns
 DS> (lovingly deep-fried so they're crunchy outside, soft and starchy
 DS> within) are great as long as the burgerdrones have replaced the

You once said something about the breakfast sausage: as my flight
ostensibly leaves at 10:15, some of this particular manna may be
in my future.

I actually had a Quizno sub once, and it was horrible: doughy bread,
salty, almost nonexistent filling. If someone were to provide some
useful information like "get the kielbasa omelet sub with extra meat
and BBQ sauce on the side," I might act on it; otherwise, no.

Just strikes me as likely, no, a near certainty. It would
appear to be a prerequisite to become one of the people in
charge of such things that one be a person whose taste buds
had been shot off.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Justin Wilson's Boiled Crawfish
 Categories: Fish/sea
      Yield: 10 servings

      4    Boxes salt (no size mentione             Garlic
      6    Pouches crab boil                  24    Small potatoes
      9    Lemons                                   Smoked sausage
      8 oz Cayenne pepper                           Corn
      5 lb Small white onions                 50 lb Live crawfish

  Bring seasonings to boil for 10 minutes.  Add potatoes, corn, and smoked
  sausage.  Boil for another 10 minutes. Add crawfish. Bring back to boil.
  Cut fire off immediately. Let soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain. Peel and
  eat.
      While water is coming to a boil, cull and clean crawfish. Rinse well
  with garden hose and remove any dead ones.
      Always wear gloves when you fool with crawfish, but remember, they can
  still pinch you through gloves. Justin Wilson writes, "Not everybody likes
  the fat, but I do, and I love to dig my finger into the head and scoop it
  out.  During crawfish season, my finger stays yellow from one end to the
