Bernard Evers built WorldCom as a house of cards in a spate of mergers, 
buy-outs, take overs, etc. When the Music stopped Tom was working for 
WorldCom and holding a bushel or two of stock options which he could not 
sell on the market (where they would have, at the time, brought huge 
returns - but, might have hastened the demise of WorldCom.

Ken Lay was George III's buddy who fronted up Enron - the spectacular 
energy conglomerate flame out at the end of the last century. He was 
convicted of misfeasance, sentenced to gaol and ordered to pauperise 
himself to make (partial) restitution. But, he died of heart failure 
before the sentence was carried out - and due to a quirk in the law, his 
death vacated the monetary judgement(s). So, he left a wealthy widow.

Oliver died of more-or-less natural causes. So, the stiff necked among 
the British mob dug up his mouldering corpse and beheaded that to fill 
the forms called for in some law or other.

Well, the G6 was fairly successful - I see no reason why the G8 would

      Title: Artichoke, Mushroom, Fennel & Endive Salad W/Lemon Mustard
 Categories: Salads, Citrus, Dairy
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      2 lg Globe artichokes
     16 lg White mushrooms
      2    Fennel bulbs
      4    Heads Belgian endive
      2 tb Dijon mustard
      3 tb Lemon juice
      1 c  Nonfat yogurt
           Salt and pepper
 
  Trimming artichokes can be a bit tricky for the novice cook. To
  simplify this process, partially cook the artichokes in boiling water
  for about 15 minutes, then drain, remove the leaves and scoop out the
  fuzzy choke. The hearts should be somewhat firm for this salad from
  restaurateur and cookbook author Joyce Goldstein.
  
  Trim the stems and cut across the top of the artichokes to remove most
  of the leaves. Put the artichokes in a pan with 3 inches of boiling
  salted water. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until firm-tender, about
  20 minutes. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon. Remove all leaves
  and scoop out the fuzzy chokes. Slice the hearts into 1/4-inch slices.
  
  Clean and trim the mushrooms; cut into 1/8-inch slices. Cut the fennel
  bulbs into quarters and trim away the tough center core. Thinly slice.
  Remove the ends from the endive and separate the leaves.
  
  Whisk together the mustard, lemon juice and yogurt. Season with salt
  and pepper.
  
  Toss the fennel, mushrooms and artichoke slices with half of the
  yogurt dressing.
  
  Divide the endive among salad plates and drizzle with most of the
  remaining dressing. Top with the mushrooms, fennel and artichokes.
  Drizzle the remaining dressing over all.
  
  Serves 4
