I took to reading the packages for the weight per unit measure, and figuring
out the weight of each ingredient I'd need for, say, eight loaves, or however
many I could get out of one four-ounce jar of yeast.  Then I'd weigh out the
dry stuff, mix it all up, then divide it into n bags by weight, so that when I
had my dense oat bran loaves, I had a bunch all alike ready to make.

You appear to have a close-knit community there, which makes a difference.
