Hi Jehad!  I'm behind on my echos here so didnt know you were here too.

This is the cooking echo, full of recipes from all over the world (some of them
even halal if you eat that way).

Here's 2 things you might find different from your normal at home, but might
like the taste of.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Mahimahi Mexicali (Fish)
 Categories: Seafood, Diabetic, Low-fat, Xxcarol
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
  1 1/2 lb MahiMahi fillets
      1 tb Light oil (can use 1/2 tb)
      1 ea Clove garlic, minced
      1 sm Onion, chunked
      2 sm Green peppers, seed/chunk
      1 c  Favorite salsa brand
 
  Cut fish to 1 1/2 inch cubes.  Heat oil at medium high in a large
  skillet.
   By using a well cured cast iron skillet, or a good grade of 'stick
  free' pan, you can reduce the oil by 1/2 in this dish.  Use a quality
  'thin' oil such as lite sesame for best effect.  Saute veggies,
  garlic and onion until soft.  Add fish and stir fry until they look
  opaque (about 5 minutes). Add salsa and heat until all the way hot.
  
  Goes really well with hot garlic bread.  For a full meal, add slices
  of fresh cucumber (or a cucumber salad), and a sliced up bosk pear
  with cinnimon sprinkled lightly atop the pear.

 Categories: Xxcarol, Cabbage, Diabetic, Salads
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      6 c  Cabbage, shredded
    1/2 c  Mayonaise
    1/8 c  Brown spicy mustard
      1 md Onion, chopped fine
      1 tb Black ground pepper
 
  Ok, that above is the basics. If you like a dryer slaw, add more
  cabbage! If you like one spicier, the basic was above and added to it
  is always some of the below:
  
  Optionals- 1/3 cup Green or Black Olives or mix (added so often I
  almost tucked this in the 'must' above)
  :        - Pimentos, pecans or walnuts (crushed a bit), sliced cherry
  tomatos (suggest this be garnish as it doesnt last long in the slaw),
  small crunchy bits of leftover raw radish, turnip, jicama, and/or
  waterchestnut.
  
  Salt to taste when serving.  Have a bottle of hotsauce nearby for
  those who like that as the flavors blend well.

Oh, 'salsa' might not be one you see much where you are but you actually do
have versions of it.  It's a condiment of chopped tomatoes, chiles, and
onions. Sold by the jar here in various levels of 'hot'.
