We're adaptable too but were happy to see Baptist churches on the
economy in Germany; they were tied to the Southern Baptist Convention
and services were in English. We also attended as (guests) a local
Baptist church in Frankfurt & in Berlin, shared facilities with one that
had been built on the site of the Nazi party women's headquarters, given
to the Baptists after WWII.

Good, plus tell her for baptism you're "dunked" vs sprinkled.

Sounds like 70s retro.  Had a laugh on our trip when we stopped at the
camp Steve worked at in 1974.  He got a t shirt from the store--it was
described as a "retro" one as it had bands of color around the neck and
sleeves. We also got a camp cook book; there are a few recipes I will
post from it in the not too distant future.

BTW, I'm in agreement with the other RH--do not reuse (for canning) the
flat lids. The seals on them are meant for one time use only.  I've
canned for years, as has my mom and that's one of the primary "rules"
we've followed.  Just a bit of insurance.
