I saw ads for the store in TX but never went into one. Then, too, it was
at a time in Steve's military career where the commissary was our best
buy for groceries and we could splurge on an occaisional "luxury item"
there.  Sounds like a place we'd have fun checking out now.

Good Going!  Having fun getting resettled?  I saw your report on the
house; you do have some work ahead of you but, as you said, it could
have been much worse. This week end we're headed up to NC to the area
we used to live in before Steve went into the Army so we'll drive by the
places we used to live in.  We know the one (our first apartment) is
torn down but don't know about the other 2. One of them, the ruts in the
road going to it could have swallowed a small car at the time. On
Saturday we're also going to swing by the hospital where Rachel was
born; her birthday is Saturday so...............

Everything will come in time.  Have you checked out the local Asian
markets yet? (G) I suspect you will be doing a lot more business with
them than you did before you went to Japan.

Enjoy your re-settling; it should be a bit easier than the first time
you were stationed there.  We've never gone back to a prior duty station
so don't know what that's like; the closest we've been is when we went
to Fort Devens.  Steve had done a couple of 6 week military schools
there (One was a couple of years before we were stationed there; the
other was about 8 years prior.) so he knew a little bit about the area.
We'll never have that experience as military as this is our last posting
before retirement.
